I have over 20 years’ experience as an Accountant.

My career started in a small practice where I prepared monthly payroll, management and year-end accounts.

I qualified as both an Accounting Technician and a Chartered Accountant with a large local practice and gained further experience in accounting, auditing and tax before moving to Grant Thornton.

As an Audit Manager at Grant Thornton I gained skills beyond those of pure accounting. I had specific responsibility for staff development, helping staff to achieve their full potential and at the same time meeting the business’ needs.

My clients included some of the largest in the office, with complex group structures and overseas operations. As an Auditor it was vital to quickly understand the business and the key drivers in order to be able to give quality advice.
